How we spent the summer

It feels weird to post a regular blog after a whole summer of Baja Tuesday's, but, while less funny, this will let everyone in on what the Kendall's have been doing with their 100 degree weather out here in the gorge.
enjoy:)

We did a lot of this....

An embarrassing amount of this....

Put in some time at Relay For Life
Specifically on the GIANT
slip N' slide

A LOT of work went into the electrical system of our house...

And into replacing the water heater that went out in the middle of the electrical project.
(That's my brother, Jimmie ;)

We did take some time off to enjoy the fair in Hood River...

I had braces put on in July... smiling hurt for awhile...

The carousel was the girls favorite ride.

Noah spent some time in solitary...that's the box from the water heater

He liked it....really.

We did a lot of picnicking...

And enjoyed some hiking...

This is Sahalie falls...

The kid's took golf lessons all summer...

...And were rewarded with trophies at the end.

Summer also won a set of golf clubs as a reward for Most Improved Player.

Hope you all had a wonderful summer!

Why do you keep letting my nieces grow up?!?! They look so big! And please, we want to see an OPEN-mouth smile! :)

And since I keep forgetting to email you back, I'll take this opportunity to say that you guys can come over and see Maisie ANY time. We're out of town this weekend, but I think all our weekends in September are pretty much open. (Although I suppose we might see you at the shindig with the relatives next weekend?)

Love you and miss you!

Yes, absolutely we'll be there on the 31st! Can't wait to meet her. We might take you up on your offer of a Saturday in September anyway since the 'relatives' will probably be passing around our baby like a football.

Miss you guys, too! Moving to Portland's looking better and better.

"HAD a wonderful summer"!!!
How dare you say HAD when I still have 4 whole days before my eldest starts her junior year!! We are milking this summer and I refuse to say HAD yet!

Loved the photos! I so want to go on those slip and slides. But, we did go to Wild Waves twice in July! That's almost as good as a giant slip and slide.

what shindig next weekend??! and where's *my* invitation?!?! how else will i hear the backstory behind commentary like 'moving to portland ...' ??

i would say noah is a clone of his father, but he's actually quite a bit better-looking. (sorry, ry.) the girls are as gorgeous as their mama. my cousin picked EXCELLENT breeding stock. HA! but yes, they are entirely too old. and tall.

somewhere around here i have a photo of jason with the hardware in his head, pulling an Igor face in a group-cousins photo. he tended to roll his eyes weirdly and hang his tongue out a lot when photo ops came up in that orthodontic phase of his adult life. i'm sure you look lovely. there's nothing like orthodontics to advertise, 'i have excellent health insurance.' HA!

LOFF the photos. loff dem. plz 2 b postin mor o dat kthx.

That was great to see all those photos of your summer, it looks like you had some fun! I was also going to say that Noah looks EXACTLY like his daddy, wow! And your girls are getting to be little women and they are beautiful:)
As hilarious as Baja Tuesday has been, I look forward to seeing more of your "normal" day posts.
