It describes a wife of noble character as one who is a:
hard worker, an entreprenuer, compassionate to the poor & needy, plans for emergencies, keeps her home well supplied, is strong, dignified, is joyful, wise, not lazy, respected by her children & husband and fears the Lord.
Melissa, you fit this bill to a "T"! It actually fits quite perfectly with your two guidelines of loving God and loving others, don't you think? :)rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08152722756680889276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3872354551426452485.post-59122677183053471162009-07-22T17:30:00.987-07:002009-07-22T17:30:00.987-07:00yah, yah, yah A><>Jyah, yah, yah A><>Jjkrofthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00919950373347500989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3872354551426452485.post-11422407390542814322009-07-13T19:45:47.597-07:002009-07-13T19:45:47.597-07:00this was a great blog...I've read it three tim...this was a great blog...I've read it three times (so far)Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05789629637776251630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3872354551426452485.post-6355746897300481712009-06-24T14:05:54.036-07:002009-06-24T14:05:54.036-07:00Yeah- I, too, have resisted the Proverbs 31 thing....Yeah- I, too, have resisted the Proverbs 31 thing. I could never picture myself that way. So instead of setting up a religious system to follow- I've condensed my whole belief system into two guidelines; love God and love others. That's it. Can't tell you how much better/clearer/freer/more peaceful I am since understanding that.
Love the 'He delights in you' thing, too, btw- read Zephaniah 3:17, you'll love it. It's my new favorite.Totally goes along with that.melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01081774550373903061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3872354551426452485.post-88619656041234436562009-06-24T08:40:50.075-07:002009-06-24T08:40:50.075-07:00well, if you're going to find your relationshi...well, if you're going to find your relationship with god somewhere, it's a much more enjoyable story when it's bubbles and a jacuzzi tub than one involving a sudden conversion to one of those fanatical, depressive 'proverbs 31 women'.

and who could resist, 'He delights in you'? really.

moments of clarity are rare for me, and not playful like this one, but incredibly peaceful and freeing. thanks for sharing yours. it was fun to read. ;DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
